Striving for a Clubfoot-Free Pakistan

Indus Hospital & Health Network is committed to eliminating clubfoot from Pakistan. Through the Pehla Qadam Program, we provide free-of-cost treatment and engage in capacity building at a national level. Since 2011, over 4,045 children have been enrolled for treatment, and 1,029 have successfully completed their journey towards a clubfoot-free life.

What are the guidelines for distributing Zakat Donations?

IHHN follows strict Shariah-compliant Zakat guidelines. All patients are assessed by welfare officers to confirm Zakat eligibility as defined by qualified Shariah scholars. Eligible patients’ treatments are funded through Zakat, while others receive care through Sadaqah or general donations. Post-treatment, internal billing is completed for Zakat account settlements.

Can I give Fidya (compensation for not fasting in Ramadan) to FOIH?

Yes, FOIH accepts Fidya donations, ensuring your contribution supports patients in need of essential medical care.

Can I volunteer for Indus Hospital & Health Network when I go to Pakistan?

Yes, you can volunteer at IHHN during your visit to Pakistan. Simply fill out the volunteer form or contact us at info@foihus.org to get started.

Can I donate from the United States and receive a tax receipt?

Yes, donations made through Friends of Indus Hospital qualify for an official U.S. tax-deductible receipt. Friends of Indus Hospital, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and an IRS-compliant tax receipt is automatically issued to your email upon successful completion of your donation.

Is my donation processed in Dollars (USD)?

Yes. All contributions made by American donors are processed in USD, ensuring accurate tax reporting and no unexpected currency conversion fees.

How is my Zakat or Sadaqah allocated, and is my donation secure?

Your Zakat and Sadaqah are distributed according to Islamic principles and directed to eligible programs that support patients and families in need. All donations are processed through secure, encrypted American payment systems, ensuring full safety and compliance.
