When Mohammad Shahzain was diagnosed with blood cancer in Sukkur, his family found themselves facing uncertainty and searching for answers. Like many parents confronted with a child’s illness, his mother set out with one goal in mind; finding the treatment her son needed to ensure a healthier life ahead.

It was during this search that they came across IHHN.

Leaving behind home and two younger children, Shahzain’s mother travelled to Karachi to begin her son’s treatment journey. For the past three months, the hospital has become their home, a place shaped by routines of consultations, treatment sessions, chemo sessions and moments of hope.

Through this period, what has brought Shahzain’s mother strength, has been seeing gradual but meaningful improvement in her son’s condition. Each sign of recovery has reaffirmed her decision to bring Shahzain to Indus Hospital & Health Network for treatment, and continue the journey towards healing.

Yet alongside the relief has been another difficult reality. Back home, his other children continue to wait for their mother’s return. The distance has not been easy, and balancing the responsibilities of caregiving and family has required sacrifice.

Today, as Shahzain continues receiving treatment, his mother looks ahead with hope. She speaks with gratitude for the care her son has received and with anticipation for the day they can return home together.

More than anything, she says she is waiting for the moment he can reunite with all of her children, carrying with her the hope that this chapter will soon give way to healthier and brighter days ahead.
