In Pakistan, more than one million people are physically disabled, which not only affects their mobility but also their social life. Road accidents, natural disasters, and spinal injuries are common reasons for these disabilities.
Unfortunately, in Pakistan, there is a lack of affordable and qualitative rehabilitation facilities, for a major segment of the differently-abled population. Persons with disabilities have to put a temporary halt to their lives, because of the limited opportunities that they receive. But they can have another chance at a normal life with the help of prosthetic devices!
Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN)’s Physical Rehabilitation Centers is a beacon of hope for the differently-abled. IHHN manages four Physical Rehabilitation Centers in Karachi, Lahore, Muzaffargarh, and Badin.
IHHN’s Rehabilitation Centers are the only facility in Pakistan that provides free-of-charge prosthetic limbs, physiotherapy services, mobility aids, and prosthetic devices to help the disabled lead normal lives. In February 2023, more than 20,000 patients were provided with prosthetic limbs & orthotic devices.
