“And establish prayer and give zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah.”

— Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah (2:110)

Ramadan is a month of mercy, generosity, and multiplied blessings. It softens hearts and encourages giving that lifts both the giver and the receiver. For those eligible to give zakat, this month holds special meaning. Your charity fulfills a sacred duty and brings hope to people who wait for support in their most difficult moments.

Across Pakistan, many vulnerable families face medical emergencies that push them further into poverty and distress. At such times, Allah (SWT) reminds us,

“whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved all of humanity.”

(Qur’an 5:32)

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) serves as a trusted bridge between your zakat and the patients who depend on it. With more than 70% of our patients eligible for zakat, your contribution provides free life-saving treatment, surgeries, medicines, and rehabilitation to those who need it most.

Zakat is more than an act of giving. It is a pillar that strengthens our community by supporting those who cannot meet their basic needs. It purifies wealth, nurtures compassion, and ensures that vulnerable families are not left behind. Through zakat, we share the blessings Allah (SWT) has given us and help create a more just and caring society.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“Charity does not decrease wealth, and Allah increases the honor of the one who forgives, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises him.”

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2588).

ZAKAT UTILIZATION

Based on the policy and guidelines provided by IHHN’s Shariah Supervisory Committee and Zakat Committee, the Zakat fund is solely used for the treatment of eligible patients – the Mustehqin. The disbursement of the funds is done through a transparent process, in which the patient allows the hospital to use Zakat for his/her treatment. To ensure our donors have transparency over the utilization of their Zakat, audited accounts are publicly available.
