As the final day of the Turkish medical mission at the Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) drew to a close, the atmosphere was a profound mix of clinical excellence, shared gratitude, and deeply moving human stories.

The day kicked off on the clinical front lines, where our esteemed visiting experts: Prof. Dr. Bulent Karadag, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Gokdemir, and Prof. Dr. Ozge Kenis Coskun, joined IHHN’s Dr. Mohammad Fareeduddin during a bustling Outpatient Department (OPD) clinic. Together, they evaluated multiple patients presenting with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), exchanging vital insights and reinforcing a collaborative approach to complex pediatric care.

The true essence of the day, however, was felt during the CF Family Day, a special event dedicated to honoring the transformative healing journeys of our resilient young patients. At IHHN, where premium healthcare is provided absolutely free of cost, seeing these children thrive is the ultimate reward.
Several patients and their families bravely took to the stage, sharing emotional testimonies about their battles with CF and the life-changing impact of their treatment. A recurring beacon of hope in their stories was the introduction of Trikafta, a breakthrough modular therapy that has radically altered the trajectory of their health, bringing vitality back into their lives.
“Before IHHN, we felt entirely alone in this fight. Today, seeing our children breathe easier and smile is a miracle we never take for granted.”
— Fatima’s mother
The most touching moment of the afternoon belonged to the children who expressed their deep appreciation, by presenting the Turkish doctors with beautiful, handcrafted gifts they had made themselves. It was a beautiful reminder that language and borders are no barrier when it comes to compassion and healing.

To bring the momentous week to a formal close, the IHHN Leadership and Board Members hosted an intimate closing dinner in honor of the visiting Turkish faculty. The evening served as a heartfelt tribute to the doctors, celebrating not just their presence, but their invaluable contribution in sharing global best practices and elevating the skills of our local healthcare practitioners.
As this incredible medical mission concludes, IHHN extends its deepest gratitude to our visiting faculty from Turkey. Their presence has not only raised crucial awareness about Cystic Fibrosis but has left an indelible mark on our clinical community and the families we serve.
Together, we continue to breathe hope into the future.
