A Day That Changed Everything

For young Muhammad Ashar, a train ride was supposed to be an adventure. He had never travelled by train before and eagerly pleaded to join his father on a short trip to Kotri. Despite his mother’s hesitation, his father reassured her, promising to keep a close eye on him.

But what began with excitement turned into tragedy. As the train neared its destination, a technical malfunction was announced. The train would not stop, only slow down. Passengers were told to jump off immediately. Amid the chaos, Ashar’s father leapt off first. Seeing him disappear, the frightened boy followed, losing his balance and falling dangerously close to the moving wheels. In seconds, his right leg was crushed. Though his life was miraculously saved, he lost his limb that day.

Finding Hope at Indus

In the days that followed, despair and uncertainty loomed large.The family was devastated.Then, a relative suggested visiting Indus Hospital & Health Network, renowned for providing free-of-cost, high-quality physical rehabilitation services.

At Indus, Ashar and his family found compassion and care. The medical team conducted a detailed assessment, educated the family on his recovery plan, and provided a custom prosthetic limb. Step by step, Ashar learned to walk again, regaining not only his mobility but also his confidence and hope.
