From 22nd to 30th December, Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) will once again open its doors to curious and motivated young individuals through its Youth Training Program, an immersive experience designed to introduce participants to the many departments that keep a hospital functioning every day.
This year, 9 young trainees from across the world are eagerly looking forward to stepping inside one of Pakistan’s largest healthcare networks, excited to learn beyond textbooks and classrooms. The program offers hands-on exposure to multiple departments, including clinical services, patient care pathways, diagnostics, administration, and non-clinical hospital operations, helping trainees understand how healthcare is delivered at scale.
For many participants, this training marks their first real interaction with a hospital environment. Over the course of the programme, trainees will observe workflows, interact with healthcare professionals, and gain insight into the teamwork required to provide free, quality care to thousands of patients every day.
“The session with Dr. Zaidi, who is the CEO, was the highlight of the day. It gave me insight and personal testimony of someone who is in the medical field, and it gave me options of what my future could look like ,” says Amani, one of the trainees.
The Youth Training Program aims to spark interest in healthcare, public service, and social impact, while equipping young people with practical knowledge, professional exposure, and a deeper appreciation of compassionate care. For many trainees, it also serves as a stepping stone toward future careers in medicine, public health, hospital management, or social development.
As the program approaches, anticipation continues to build among participants, each eager to learn, observe, and carry forward the values of empathy, discipline, and service that define IHHN’s mission.
Embark on a meaningful journey by getting involved in our mission to provide quality healthcare for all. Your involvement can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need. Here’s how you can be a catalyst for change.
