For many patients, the cost of medical care can become a barrier that feels impossible to cross. For 50-year-old Mumtaz, that barrier once stood between her and a life free from pain—until Project GODA made healing possible.
She first came to Indus Hospital a few years ago after sharing a difficult reality: she could not afford the medical treatment she needed. Through Project GODA—Indus Hospital’s initiative dedicated to providing free, specialized orthopedic care—she found access to treatment, compassion, and renewed hope.

About two years ago, she began experiencing persistent knee pain that gradually worsened. Over time, her knee would suddenly lock, severely limiting her ability to move. Simple tasks became exhausting, and walking grew increasingly difficult. In the month leading up to her surgery, her condition deteriorated further. Afraid that her knee might lock again, she stopped going outside altogether, losing both mobility and independence.
Through Project GODA, she underwent the knee replacement surgery she could not otherwise afford. The procedure marked a turning point in her journey. She speaks with deep appreciation for the doctors and medical staff, describing them as cooperative, supportive, and reassuring throughout her treatment.

Today, following her surgery, she is able to move with greater confidence and looks ahead with optimism. What once felt like a life defined by pain and fear has been replaced with hope and the promise of renewed mobility.
With heartfelt gratitude, she shares her best wishes for the entire medical team at Indus Hospital and expresses sincere thanks to Project GODA—for giving her not just treatment, but the chance to walk forward into life again.
Through Project GODA, lives are not only healed—they are transformed.
